Alfred Gockel creates powerfully distinctive abstracts which are alive with rich, primary colors, deep black accents, ebbing and flowing lines, and intensely kinetic motion. Born in Germany, Gockel had his first artwork published when he was 8 years old. Originally studying design, with an emphasis on typography, graphic design and advertising, Gockel spent the past 22 years painting full time in his highly identifiable, signature style. His work ranges from etching to serigraphy, and has been used by the porcelain, carpet and sportswear industries.
